Sometimes referred to as balloon window treatments or pouf valances, balloon valances get their name because the body of the valance appears puffed up or ballooned. This ballooned appearance can easily be achieved by inserting the curtain rod into valance rod pocket, then insert your arm between the two fabric layers of the valance body. Adjust the fabric by hand until you achieve a desirable appearance to your liking.
